The word love is an often used and overused word. We love our spouse, children, and family, while we also love the sunset or a meal or a new pair of shoes. And romantic love is frequently held up as the highest form of love – it is the love most obsessively pursued in our culture.
John writes that This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:10 NIVUK). A King, humbling Himself and becoming like one of us. A Father, sending His Son to rescue us back to Himself. This is the ultimate, unfailing love.
This Easter, we invite you to experience this love and the compelling journey Jesus took to the cross and tomb on your behalf.
The Way of the Cross | 10 to 16 April
Follow in the steps of Jesus from the last supper to His resurrection.
Start at the Prayer Chapel (back of the church building) and journey through the stations set up on our premises. Ask the Holy Spirit for fresh revelation as you place yourself in the Easter story.
Take the journey as a group
- Monday to Friday, 06:30: Join an early-morning group journey with one of our pastors, starting with communion in the Prayer Chapel. Because there’s no work or school on Friday, we’ll have a second group journey at 08:30, before our Good Friday service.
- Encourage your community group to take the journey together – Saturday’s soaking evening (16 April) could be ideal for this.
Venues open at 06:30 and close for the night at 18:30.
