ROOTS GO DEEP
We’re a lively church family in Tshwane, Pretoria, with a passion for Christ and being disciples in our community and beyond. You may look for us in the Hatfield suburb of Pretoria because that’s where we started. In fact, our first church building was on South Street. Since 1982, however, our home is on a hill on our church-named Hope Street in Waterkloof Glen, overlooking Pretoria East.
Our church roots go deep, growing from a small home gathering in 1903 to our current multipurpose campus, which continues to flourish and move with the Holy Spirit.

Meet Our Leaders
Our senior pastor
Louis Kotzé grew up in Hatfield Christian Church, completed our gap year programme, Year of Your Life, and his initial theological schooling at our training centre. Louis deeply believes in advancing God’s Kingdom through whole-life discipleship and has been in full-time ministry since 1993.
Pastor Louis met and married his wife, Natasja, at Hatfield, and they have four sons.
In 1998, Louis was appointed as a pastor at our church and released in 2005 to plant Hatfield Christian Church South in Centurion.
Since March 2016, when Louis was appointed as our senior pastor, he leads both Hatfield Christian Church East and South, supported by Natasja and leadership teams on each campus. Our two churches meet in separate locations but are united in our shared vision and mission to advance God’s Kingdom in Tshwane and beyond.
Pastor Louis maintains that we must first cultivate community in the church. We must grow together in our understanding of advancing God’s Kingdom so that we can make disciples of all nations wherever we raise our families, work and play – truly seeing God’s Kingdom come in Hearts, Homes, and Beyond.
