As Christmas draws near, we welcome you to celebrate the birth of Jesus at our annual Christmas Celebration, sharing in the deep joy and peace that this season brings to our community in Pretoria East. This year’s theme reflects the special moment Luke recounts for us, “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” Join us in being likewise FILLED WITH JOY as we gather to celebrate the birth of our Saviour!
What Awaits You
Get up close to the Christmas story • 17:00
Before the service, from 17:00-17:45, and afterwards, until 20:30, get up close to the Christmas story through our interactive Christmas skits on the church’s front lawn. There will even be a craft station for children ages 10 and younger. Feel free to bring a picnic 🧺 and make the most of the evening together!
Worship and the Word • 18:00
Experience the nativity story through immersive visuals and worship as Pastor Louis wraps up our Filled series. The service is more than an event – it’s a time to draw close to God, praise joyfully, and reflect on the Spirit’s role in Jesus’ arrival.
Cre-Ate Café will be open before the service, serving delicious treats and hot and cold beverages. After the service, our Hatfield Community Students will offer hot chocolate, snacks, and cold drinks for sale for everyone to enjoy.
Stars for Smiles
Our annual Stars for Smiles drive to make Christmas memorable for children in the care of our Faith Promise Partner Ministries is here. As we prepare our hearts this season, we invite you to read with us Journey to Christmas, an advent plan by 24-7 Prayer. Anticipate the arrival of Jesus through this 14-day plan, which we’re featuring via our church’s page on the YouVersion app.
For families with little ones, pick up an Advent Calendar at our Christmas Celebration or from our Prayer Room. You can also download a digital copy here.
Our Prayer Room will feature special advent prayers and activities organised by our pastoral team and will be available to you from 1 December through the first week of January. So, stop by, any time between 07:00 and 17:00, and deepen your expectation as we look forward to Jesus’ birth.
The Christmas season reminds us God’s gift of joy, brought to us through Jesus, is for everyone. As we come together, whether in person or online, let’s be filled with joy and reflect on how the Holy Spirit renews, sustains, and blesses us daily.
