Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Fasting
Fasting from food invites us to slow down and become more attentive to God. By choosing to step away from something familiar and sustaining, we are reminded that our deepest need is met in Him alone.
There are different ways to fast, and it’s important to seek God’s guidance as you consider what to fast from and for how long. Please also be mindful of your health or any history related to eating disorders and consult a medical professional where necessary.
- Normal fast: No food, water only.
- The Daniel fast: Drink water and juice. Eat fruits and vegetables.
- Partial fast: This could mean fasting certain meals of the day or abstaining from certain foods (for example, no meat or sweets, soup only, fruit and vegetables only).
Fasting plus prayer: Remember, fasting should be combined with prayer. God calls us to both fast and pray. If you are fasting a certain meal of the day, use the time you would normally be eating to pray. The combination of prayer and fasting is a powerful way to focus on seeking God for breakthroughs and answers to prayer.
Fasting and abstinence: Although the word “fast” is used as abstaining from food in the Bible and does not refer to giving up other things, during a fast, one can practice abstinence from other pleasures, such as fasting social media, entertainment, etc.
Wednesday Prayer Retreat
Join us on Wednesday from 08:30 to 12:30 for a prayer retreat at the church. We gather in the Function Hall at 08:30 to receive instruction, then spread out across our church grounds to pray and wait upon the Lord. We’ll reconvene at 12:00 for a debriefing session. Bring a camp chair or blanket, a Bible, a notebook, and a pen.
Children and Parents
Join us on Wednesday evening for an online corporate time of prayer from 18:00 to 19:00 right in the comfort of your own home. Dial in online via Zoom: Go.Hatfield.co.za/OnlinePrayer
Sunday Celebration
Join us for our Sunday Commissioning service as we bring the week to a close and go into the rest of the year, commissioned by the Lord.
Throughout the week, may you be drawn closer to Christ, be deeply dependent on the Holy Spirit, and have your faith enlarged for the places God has entrusted to you.
