We shared this article exactly 3 years ago, and today we find it even more relevant than ever as the world continues to battle with the pandemic.
Even in the darkest moments, love gives hope. Love is what compels us to fight against coronavirus alongside our sisters and brothers living in poverty. Love compels us to stand together as South Africans in prayer. Love compels us to give and act as one. As we pray in our individual homes – around our beautiful country – we are united as one family.
So, let us pause and find a moment of peace, as we lift our hearts together in prayer for South Africa.

We thank You for our beautiful country and for all the wonderful people that You have created specifically for South Africa. Today we come before You and stand on Your promise of restoration. Jeremiah 30:17a (NKJV) says:
‘”For I will restore health to you and heal your wounds,” says the Lord’
Just as You promised Israel, Lord, we believe you are promising South Africa.
We give You glory for the rains that have fallen and for the drought has been broken in most of our provinces. We continue to trust You to allow Your rain to fall in the Western Cape and any other areas of our country that needs Your healing rain.
As we see Your rain fall on and cleanse South Africa, we pray that You will wash away all that is not of Your plan for our land. We continue to pray for the leadership of our land and that the needs of the many that have nothing will always be the most important issue of the day.
We pray that as a country, we will take a firm stand against violence, crime, and corruption, and we ask that You, dear God, will restore the health of our country and heal all the wounds, both past and present.
Above all, we pray that we will truly have love for one another – regardless of race, colour, or religious belief. We pray that where there is conflict, we will be able to go in and sow your seeds of love and tolerance.
Thank you, Father, that you love us. Thank you that You hear our prayers. We ask this all in the almighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour,
