Guard Your Heart

Silence (two minutes)

Still your heart before Him.

‘Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.’

– Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)

The condition of our hearts needs to be a primary focus for us. We need to be careful what we expose our hearts to. Our words, what we hear and see and who we associate with, can all influence us. Gordon MacDonald said, ‘There must be a quiet place in our lives from which comes the energy that overcomes turbulence.’

Lord, help me to be diligent to protect my heart from any ungodly influence as I realise that everything else in my life flows from it. Help me discern the next season You have for me.
