God will take care of you

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings1 Peter 5:7-9 (NIV)

When we look at the challenges the world is facing all around us, there is no denying that we are living in tough times. It can be very hard to keep our faith levels up, when everything around us is telling us to panic and lose hope. The temptation can be to get anxious, and live with extra caution, because we do not know what tomorrow will bring.
What we should do is the opposite of that, which is to live richly towards the Lord, and He will take care of us.
We need to remember that God is with us on this journey. He has not forsaken us. He has already gone before us and paved the way. God has good plans for us as His children– plans to prosper us, not to harm us– to give us hope and a future.

‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.’
-Romans 8:28

As Duane White said in one of our services, ‘God’s invitation to next level living requires a response of next level giving’. We need to prepare the harvest, by sowing seeds of prayer, practicing generosity, serving, praising the Lord for who He is, what He’s done, and what He has promised to do. We know that He is faithful, and always does what He says He will do.

If God takes care of the birds in the air and the lilies of the field, how much more will He take care of you? (see Matthew 6: 25). Not only will He provide for your needs, He will also provide the seed for you to sow, you just need to trust Him.

Father God, thank you that You are mindful of me. That Your ways are not my ways. I don’t need to make sense of things around me, but I can rest knowing that You will take care of me. I ask that You would give me your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let Your will be done, on this earth, in my life and heart in Jesus’ name.
