Many recognise the name 'Jude' from the title of the hit song by the Beatles.  But how many realise that it is also the name of one of the New Testament books of the Bible?

The book of Jude may be short, but the message is a clear warning to all Christians to be aware of godless men, and of false teachings. There are dire consequences to those who try to pervert the word of God. We are also warned against falling into the trap of believing that because of God’s grace and mercy, we are free to do whatever we want to do without any restrictions.

We are reminded to stay true to the words of Jesus and not be fooled by false teachings. Jude calls believers to live holy lives and root themselves in the one true faith.

Our promise is taken from the final verses of Jude 24-25 (KJV).

'Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen'

As we live our lives, may we focus on the importance of taking time to hear the Holy Spirit and by God’s grace and guidance not fall into the snares set by the enemy. When we walk with Jesus, we have access to His joy and peace, regardless of the circumstances around us.
